SEAsons Greetings everyone! We hope that all of you are sailing into the holidays…they are rapidly approaching aren’t they!?!

In the holiday spirit of friends, family and the things (and places) we love the most, we wanted to share some of the GORGEOUS captures from our little photo and video shoot last month. We just received the first round of stills from Spencer at Island Media Co. and we are obsessed!

Isn’t it incredible to see Sailing Asante shine (like she does) through the lens of a professional camera? And all of those beautiful faces on board! St. John and Mother Nature did their part, providing a picture-perfect backdrop on this lovely day of sailing. Even the water at Lovango Cay was brilliantly clear and bright. We couldn’t have asked for anything else. Are you ready for a perfect day of SAILING St. John?

Consider this a holiday card. From our team to yours. With lots of love, from St. John.

Read on below the gallery for an intro to our crew…both new and the OG’s!

Oh, and I would be remiss if I didn’t take a moment to introduce everyone here! First, you all know Captain Teddy. Forever at the helm unless he’s fixing something in the engine room, scrubbing the bottom of the boat or googling how to fix or find parts to keep our girl sailing smooth. Oh, and me? I’m Hillary. Teddy’s other half, marketing apparatus, travel partner and idea streamer.

Then of course there’s our new fur baby, ZIGGY! He is a three-month old Mini-Aussie Doodle from Kentucky. He will likely be around 20 pounds at full-grown, making him the perfect sailing and travel dog. Ziggy is quickly adjusting to his new island life, the water, the boat and new puppy, and people, friends on St. John.

Captain Dulce is another familiar face you might recognize as the previous owner and operator of Dulce Vita Sails. We are so blessed to have Dulce as a dear friend and now, fill-in crew member and Captain on Asante. Her knowledge of St. John is fully immersive, and she will absolutely share her stories with you.

If you sailed with us last season, you probably also recognize the beautiful and lovely RACHEL! Hailing from Colorado, Rachel has taken to the sails and the sea like it’s second nature and has been an absolute joy to both our guests and us since she started with us last fall.

Hans has years of experience on the waters surrounding St. John and St. Thomas and is currently working towards his Captain’s certifications while slinging drinks and DELICIOUS food at St. John Back Bar. AND crewing with us on Asante! We know that all of our guests are going to love Hans’ comical twists on the islands’ history, lore and geography. His charming personality and knowledge of the area will certainly leave you feeling like you’ve made a brilliant new friend at the end of your sailing day.

Amy and Kaelyn are both relatively new to St. John and are ambitiously learning the “ropes” of small island living and sailing. They both have extensive hospitality backgrounds which will ensure your cup is never empty and your snack plates are beautifully presented.

Amy worked on boats on St. Croix for a season and is full of useful info about the southernmost point of the Virgin Islands. If you’re lucky, Kaelyn will bring some of her tasty baked goods to share with you on your trip. You can catch both of them at The Terrace Restaurant…Kaelyn cooking up some goodness and Amy serving it to you!

Meet the team in person…Let’s go SAILING!
