Join us on our most popular trip and the best way to spend your day sailing the Virgin Islands! We weigh anchor at 10am for a full day of sailing the waters of St. Thomas and St. John, USVI, until approximately 4pm. If you’d like to start your day a little later, enjoy your brunch before boarding Asante, and sail into sunset we can make those pickup and drop off hours 12pm to 6pm and in March, when the sun starts setting a little later, we shift that late time to 1pm to 7pm . Of course, exploring these beautiful waters means that we stop at about 2 or 3 places to snorkel, float on a noodle and floats, or lounge on the boat to work on your tan. Snorkel gear, snacks, water, sodas, and beer are always provided on Asante. We can arrange to provide lunch, or we can stop at one of the amazing restaurants on the water. This ultimate day sail provides you with the choice of sailing most of the day, finding a beautiful anchorage to swim, snorkel, float, and relax, or doing a bit of it all!

British Virgin Islands:

Note: At this time, we are not taking guests to the British Virgin Islands. Over the last few seasons the BVI have been constantly changing their policies regarding charter vessels based in the USVI and have made it extremely difficult for USVI charter businesses to operate smoothly in BVI waters. If this changes we will let you know as soon as possible, but we don’t want to promise you a trip that we can’t run.

Rates:

PRIVATE USVI CHARTER:

  • $800 for up to 2 people
  • $100 for each additional guest (6 guests max total)

Note: Tip is not included and it is customary to tip your crew 15-20%, especially if they provide exceptional service!

What’s Included

Everything you’ll need for the best day of your vacation on your private sailing charter.

Included:
  • Private Monohull Sailboat with Captain
  • Fuel
  • Ice
  • Painkillers
  • Rum Punch
  • Full Open Bar (water, juices, soda, mixers, beer, hard seltzers, rum, tequila, vodka)
  • Morning Fruit Plate
  • Afternoon Charcuterie
  • Plenty of fridge, freezer, and cooler space for anything specific you’d like to bring along.
  • Bluetooth Music Collection
  • Snorkel Gear – Note that we have 6+ sets of snorkel gear in a variety of sizes that fits most, but we don’t have 6 sets of every size of fin and mask. It is very difficult to fit small children into snorkel gear and if all 6 guests have the same sized feet it might get difficult to fit all guests into snorkel gear at once. Please feel free to bring your own snorkel gear especially if you enjoy how it fits you! We don’t normally have an issue fitting our guests into snorkel gear, but it has happened once or twice so please plan accordingly.
Not Included:
  • Lunch is not included in the price of the full day trip, but we do normally stop somewhere for a bite to eat.
  • Popular options include:
    • Pizza Pi floating pizza boat
    • Lovango Resort and Beach Club fast casual dining
    • Sam & Jack’s – pick up for yourself in the morning before you board the boat
    • North Shore Deli – pick up for yourself in the morning before you board the boat
    • Bring your own (note the plenty of fridge space on the list of things included).
  • Towels – Laundry on a boat for day trips can be logistically challenging. Please bring towels if you’d like to dry off when you get out of the water.

Pickup Locations

Asante is based on St. John, USVI. We do pick up from St. Thomas, but only in Redhook. Note that most of our pickups are via dinghy because Asante doesn’t fit at the National Park finger pier.

St. John:
  • On Cruz Bay Beach near High Tide via dinghy
  • At the National Park finger pier dock via dinghy
  • The Westin Resort Beach (For Westin Guests Only) via dinghy
St. Thomas: – Redhook
  • Via dinghy at the Tarpon’s Table dinghy dock.
  • American Yacht Harbor Fuel Dock – extra $160 dockage fee

*Note that due to the fact that we are mostly picking up and dropping off via dinghy (smaller inflatable boat) you might be wading into ankle to knee deep water. We will ask you to take your footwear off and try to rinse all of the sand off of your shoes and feet as you get into the dinghy so that we transfer the least amount of sand onto Asante.
